Position Summary

  • Supports Professional Standards processes, personnel activities, and other administrative functions for MSU DPPS.
  • Supports development of goals, objectives, and development of accredited processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains current software skills related to Professional Standards functions through continuous learning.
  • Collaborates with SWORN and NONSWORN Team members to improve accreditation and training related learning and development opportunities.
  • Supports updates to training database for tracking of personnel records.
  • Supports collection of data relative to administrative reviews, analysis as required for accreditation.
  • Supports collection of proofs supporting accreditation assessment annual periods
  • Supports Microsoft TEAMS training calendar development for MSU DPPS Professional Standards.
  • Supports meeting scheduling and development related to Professional Standards functions.
  • Supports training and accreditation related policy group, workflow functions and processes in PowerDMS.
  • Supports communications related to accreditation and training developments utilizing software, planning meetings and goals.
  • Supports learning management systems that MSU DPPS Professional Standards uses (Microsoft TEAMS, Guardian or Lefta PowerDMS, Axon, and SAP Concur)
  • Supports personnel in SAP Concur with travel logistics via this App.
  • Familiar with basic information on MCOLES and law enforcement related to training objectives or requirements.
  • Performs training assessments and evaluations for personnel having attended scheduled training.
  • Supports training documentation as directed in PowerDMS data entry or workflows.
  • Supports Accreditation preparation, planning and timely scheduling of related events/functions.
  • Ordering materials and equipment- uses procurement when appropriate and a departmental credit card.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Educational Systems development, Instructional Technology Systems, Instructional Science or a related educational programs development area, and/or a field related to the area of expertise; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in the design, development and presentation of instructional programs using software or tools related to the educational programs being conducted; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
