The General Industry Business Line within Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly North America is seeking an elite Total Workstation Business Development Manager who will lead and inspire our sales teams and customers to unlock the full potential of Assembly Process Solutions in Industry 4.0. The General Industry division serves dynamic manufacturing sectors such as Aerospace, Defense, Consumer Electronics, General Assembly, Agri/Construction Equipment, Green Energy, Appliances, and more. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales – General Industry.

Mission:

Lead and inspire our customers and sales teams in the transformation journey toward fastening-centric automated solutions in pursuit of the vision of Industry 4.0.

  • Simultaneously drive initial success in your focus area while innovating processes, structures, and resources to support a foundation for mid-term/long-term competence development among the broader sale team.
  • Contribute to business and solution development initiatives with a forward-thinking, win-win mindset. Validate and share best practices globally, and within local Atlas Copco business lines.
  • Serve as the key regional stakeholder in global initiatives to explore and optimize our portfolio within the rapidly evolving industrial marketspace.
  • Serve as an influence leader to coordinate and coach high-performing teams within a matrix organization. Capture team commitments, and constructively drive accountability to deliver consistent results.
  • Generate comprehensive, application focused presentation materials in support of maximum value delivery on unique customer opportunities. Coach and encourage sales teams to develop strong return-on-investment proposals along with quotations for your solutions.
  • Exhibit mature and effective self-leadership skills; disciplined time management practices; and the ability to guide strategic initiatives from vision to reality.
  • Display flexible influence leadership skills when interacting with global teams. Nurture a diverse and inclusive work environment. Champion a sustainable mindset. Demonstrate a complete commitment to the work culture established in the Atlas Copco Book.

Additional information:

  • Living location is flexible and we will discuss this with potential candidates. Residence near a major airport will offer an improved work/life balance. Residence near major manufacturing market areas will be beneficial.
  • Extensive travel within the US and Canada will be necessary for success (~50% of working days). Hybrid work from home schedule will fill the remaining time. The right candidate will excel at complete independence in setting their owns schedule.
  • International travel is required several times per year to attend sales meetings or business summits. (Mexico, Canada, Europe, Asia, others)
  • Compensation structure is negotiable; will include salary, commission, vehicle allowance, and expense budget.

To Succeed, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of selling machine or industrial solutions and/or delivering consistent growth in business-to-business enterprise sales.
  • Concrete record of delivering business growth and driving strategic initiatives from vision to reality.
