TOBAR PhD Studentship

Trinity College Dublin

The project is part of the TOBAR initiative, which is an on-going joint Marino Institute of Education and School of Education, Trinity College Dublin project. This project began in 2018 and focuses on enabling members of the Irish Traveller Community to undertake initial teacher education (ITE). The successful candidate will research both historic and current aspects of education concerning the Irish Traveller community, and the scope of the study may comprise some or all stages of learning from early years’ education, primary, post-primary, further education and higher education. The position is funded for 4 years, starting in January 2023. The student will be registered with the School of Education in Trinity College and will form part of an enthusiastic team of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
