Your Responsibilities
What you’ll do
Our Therapy Technical Instructors work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and ward based multi-disciplinary teams. The role involves working on functional, cognitive and psychological rehabilitation, promoting recovery and independence, complex discharge planning and enhancing the patient’s journey. We are a large teaching hospital with many clinical specialities. The successful applicant will be part of our large and dynamic Therapy team. There are many varied opportunities to participate in training and we will ensure that you complete your competency training to equip you with the competence and confidence within this post.
What we’re looking for
You should ensure you meet the essential criteria on the person specification. The successful applicants will need to have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills within a team, and be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills. This role requires you to be physically fit and active and able to physically carry, handle and fit adaptive equipment and manoeuvre patients. Therapy Services run a 7-day flexible working service so you need to be able to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
