The Productivity Institute and Applied Research Collaboration Research Fellow

We wish to appoint a Research Fellow with expertise in economics or health economics to undertake a research project on mental health and productivity funded by the Economic and Social Research Council through The Productivity Institute (TPI). The postholder will join the Economic Sustainability Research Theme within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (ARC-GM), based at the University of Manchester.

The postholder will use econometric methods and large survey and administrative datasets to further our understanding of the relationship between health, particularly mental health, and economic productivity, within the United Kingdom. There will be a strong focus on inequalities and potential policy responses. The postholder will work collaboratively between the ARC-GM and the TPI as well as with colleagues from other Universities.
