The Opportunity
The Testing Services assistant is responsible for invigilating exams held in Testing Services, ensuring academic integrity is maintained. These exams include special exam accommodations for students with disabilities, make-up exams, challenge exams, SAIT admission exams and exams for external agencies. Thousands of exams are invigilated in Testing Services. The Testing Services assistant must be detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle people under stress.  
*Please note, this position on-campus and requires availability Monday to Saturday. Shifts are typically 5 hours in length and can take place anytime between 8am-7:30pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-6pm Friday, and between 8am-4pm Saturday.
The Role

    • Invigilate Exams
    • Facilitate exams for students in Testing Services and act as an invigilator as per established procedures
    • Oversee troubleshooting for exams as required  
    • Organization and data entry
    • Monitor all emails and phone calls within testing services.
    • Enter information into respective databases.
    • Arrange exam locations for all students requiring accommodations.

Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum 1 or more years of experience in administrative, customer service or equivalent experience in a post-secondary environment 
    • Preferred: Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration and experience in a post-secondary testing environment 
    • Strong communication as a key contact for students and faculty 
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Hourly rate: $20.19/hour
