Tenured Professor in Bioengineering

Position Description:  The John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at Harvard University seeks applicants for a tenured rank position in Bioengineering, with an expected start date of July 1, 2023. The successful applicant will teach and advise at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Bioengineering.

The candidate is expected to have a research and educational focus on the field of ‘Augmented Humanity,’ as broadly defined. Specific topics of interest include Human Cell Therapies with an emphasis on biomaterials/cell engineering/cell manufacturing and Human Organoids/Tissue Engineering with an emphasis on stem cell differentiation/genetic engineering/organoid assembly/tissue-level characterization. Candidates with research outside these areas, yet related to the field of Augmented Humanity, are also encouraged to apply. Candidates with industrial experience in any relevant area are also encouraged to apply.

Basic Qualifications:  Candidates are required to have a doctorate in an appropriate field of engineering.

Additional Qualifications: Candidates are expected to have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and research in Bioengineering. Candidates should also evince intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential for significant contributions to SEAS, the University, and wider scholarly community.
