Job Title: Tenure-Track, Tenure Appointment, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Social Work
Position Status: Tenure-Track or Tenure; OPSEU Local 685
Department: School of Social Work
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Preferred Start Date: July 1, 2025, or as negotiated

Qualifications
-Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree in Social Work or a closely related field and a demonstrated commitment to teaching and research.
-Must have a Social Work degree within the course of study (for instance a previous BSW or MSW)
-Expertise in a subfield of Social Work especially, Family/ Child/ Mental Health/ Addictions
-Must be able to demonstrate a familiarity and understanding of Indigenous perspectives
-Must be flexible to travel and work in remote locations for short periods of time
-Demonstrated relevant academic background, research portfolio and a record of teaching excellence.
-Experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.

-a research plan (up to two single-spaced pages)
-sample publications or portfolio
