Offer DescriptionWe are looking for a highly qualified and scientifically outstanding female researcher, specialized in the field of organic analysis of food and commodities. Due to significant changes in the European strategy, there is an urgent need to establish expertise in the field of food safety assessment. The candidate should have the following profile:
- Knowledge in the development of sample preparation methods for organic trace and ultra-trace analysis
- excellent knowledge in the field of multidimensional coupling and separation techniques based on chromatographic methods
- knowledge in the automation of analytical methods
- in-depth knowledge in the field of organic mass spectrometry
- experience in the chemical-analytical safety assessment of food and food contact materials
PhD-level university education in disciplines relevant for the position.
- An outstanding qualification in research and teaching
- Visible involvement into international research community
- Appropriate didactic and pedagogical skills for a professorship
- Experience in teaching on Bachelor´s, Master´s and Doctoral program level
- Experience in the acquisition and management of third party funded projects
- Sufficient leadership experience and the ability to lead a research team or unit
- The ability to work in a team and willingness for cooperation within and outside the university.
- Competences in gender, diversity and inclusion
- Appropriate competences in German and English
- a CV (with copies of certificates).
- a list of publications highlighting the 5 most important publications.
- a research statement describing past and planned research activities (5 pages max.).
- a teaching statement (5 pages max.) and evaluations of past teaching activities (if available).
- names and contact information of two references.
To ensure international representation of the research group and its work, excellent spoken and written competence in English is expected.
