Posting Summary	Rutgers,, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant (TRA) for the Department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Sciences within the School of Health Professions. The TRA will assist with the day-to-day operations and the ongoing research projects in the Rawal Nutrition and Health Lab. The TRA will work on IRB protocols, data collection and analysis, participant recruitment, and assist with preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, posters and oral presentations. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assist in the development and renewal of IRB protocols. Assist in data collection and data analysis. Participant recruitment and assessment. Conduct literature searches as assigned. Assist in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students. Assist in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.

COVID-19 Immunization Requirement	Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility . Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	Bachelors at minimum.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with research or clinical experience assessing human participants, use of PubMed, and scientific writing.
Preferred Qualifications	Masters. Previous experience with data analyses and using statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, SAS etc.).
Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment	Candidate will have access to a standard computer, phone, and internet access to perform the duties outlined. Data processing licenses will be provided.
Special Conditions	The candidate will work primarily in Newark.
