The mission of the center is three-fold: a) to provide training and hands-on learning opportunities to students that are interested in the fields of sensory and consumer research, b) to further research in the areas of sensory science and consumer product testing, and c) to help businesses develop and improve their product offering through consumer and sensory testing. Among the standard services that are offered to Cornell community members and commercial clients are Consumer Acceptability, Preference, Discrimination Testing, and consultations in all matters Sensory (study design, questionnaire design, data analyses, etc.). The Sensory Evaluation Center is searching for a part-time, temporary worker(s) to facilitate sensory study fielding during peak hours. This(ese) individual(s) label test containers, prepare test packets and prepare (cook, bake, etc.) and serve test products during sensory studies.
This is a part-time, temporary, one year appointment with possibility of extension based on additional funding and performance. There is the potential that this position will evolve into a part-time 10 hours per week position, in the future. This position and will be located in Ithaca, New York.
No relocation assistance is provided for this position. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
