NOTE: This is a 2-year
temporary position with the possibility of extension.

 

NAIT’s
NDT Test Centre is one of the most reputable of its kind in Western Canada.
From Radiography to Ultrasonic and everything in between, we are responsible
for providing the highest standard of testing and certifying the fields best
trained professionals. We are seeking skilled and energetic individuals, with
strong communication and organizational skills, committed to student motivation
and achievement for term limited instructional assignments. These employment
contracts will include instructional hours during days, evenings and/or
weekends as required, and managed through the Non-destructive Test Centre in
the Department of Continuing Education.

 

Key
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise
    CGSB PT, MT, UT and RT Level II and III Non-destructive Test examinations for
    industry candidates.
  • Perform
    workshops for all methods above.
  • Prepare
    and present classes in both classroom and lab settings
  • Perform
    ongoing review, evaluation, and revision of program content to maintain
    relevancy, effectiveness, adherence to best practices, and connection to industry.
  • Proactively
    seeks out and makes recommendations for improvements to the program.
  • Participate in
    activities that relate to student recruitment, retention, and progression.

    communication skills, both written and verbal.

    high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills.
  • Ability
    to plan and manage a high volume of varied work.
  • Detail-oriented
    and student-centric.
  • Problem-solving,
    project and time management skills.

 

Qualifications:  

  • The
    candidate should possess certification in at least 3 of the methods outlined
    below:
  • CGSB
    Level II or III certification in Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Liquid
    Penetrant, Ultrasonic Inspection.
  • 5
    years minimum field experience
  • Previous
    instructional background would be an asset.
  • Preference
    will also be given to candidates who possess CGSB RT Level II and CEDO

 

Remuneration: Negotiable
