The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) (also known as the Health Care Reform law, Affordable Care Act, or ACA) requires the University of Missouri to offer medical insurance to eligible variable-hour employees. Variable-hour employees eligible for medical insurance through the PPACA remain ineligible for the university’s dental, vision, life, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance plans.
