The postholder is required to be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work collaboratively with colleagues, students and external bodies; provide advice and guidance on process/procedures and regulations and work with information that needs careful explanation and interpretation. You will participate in Technical Demonstrator duties where you will need the ability to convey highly complex technical / specialist information through presentation / demonstrations to a variety and range of audiences.  

You must have team working experience, including working in a multi-disciplinary team environment where you have actively and positively participated with and contributed to the team with also the ability to support, train and advise colleagues in specialist technical area of expertise.

Experience of techniques and processes relevant to the specialist area such as, but not exclusively, sample and solution preparation, safe storage and disposal of substances, COSHH and risk assessments is essential.

Along with the knowledge or experience of scientific instrumentation such as but not exclusively; UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, Microscopy, Electrophoresis etc”
