The College of Arts is a vibrant and growing element of the University of Lincoln which is based in the heart of this thriving, beautiful and friendly city. We have a great opportunity to join the College Technical Services Team, which is made up of over 30 specialist staff who provide a wide range of services and support to students and academic staff from across the numerous schools within the College. We are looking to recruit an individual to support teaching and learning across the Colleges’ Animation and 3D modelling software.
The Animation program is part of the Lincoln School of Film, Media and Journalism which has had many successes in national and international competitions. Located in the Peter De Wint Building the program has two dedicated computer suites which the post holder will have responsibility for managing and maintaining. We are looking to recruit an individual with extensive experience in the use, support and operation of a range of specialist Animation and 3D modelling software. You will have considerable knowledge of traditional and digital animation techniques and will be expected to support students and academic staff via timetabled workshops, self-directed learning and general studio support. Supporting 3D modelling software across the wider college will also be a requirement of the role so a willingness and ability to work with a wide range of students is essential. Experience of providing technical support within a similar environment will be highly valued.
As one of the largest employers in the city, the University of Lincoln offers exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), progressive pay rates, access to discounts at popular stores and more.
Full training will be given to the successful candidate. If you would like to know more about this opportunity, please contact Mr Gary Anderson, Technical Services Manager at [email protected].
