Position Summary:
As a technical specialist with the McGill Cross Country team you will have responsibilities in the areas of recruitment of prospective student-athletes, onboarding of confirmed recruits, liaising with veteran student-athletes, attending meetings as required by the Head Coach and overall administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Helps with the set-up and preparation of courses for practices
  • Timing of one of the groups (Martlets or Redbirds) 
  • Helps in collecting and compiling data at the meets for feedback to our throwers
  • Able to communicate effectively with the head coach, other assistant coaches, and the athletes
  • Able to be an effective recruiter at the university level
  • Has a minimum of 2 years coaching in track and field 
  • Able to take charge of the group in absence of the head coach

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

An undergraduate degree is recommended

Performance Coach Trained recommended but can start as a Certified Club Coach

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE C) $16.30
