The Technical Scrum Lead will provide agile methodology services to cross-functional teams, demonstrating an understanding of the technology-related product(s) and associated business areas. Apply technical expertise to improve productivity of teams and quality of work processes and outcomes. Products often have divisional implications.About the team:The “Business Agility” team within our Chief Data & Analytics Office- Personal Investor serves three distinct functions:Agile: The Agile sub-function drives business agility by working towards our vision to “Improve quality, efficiency of data analytic insights to Personal Investor clients and maximize business value by continuous process improvement.”Demand Integration: The Demand Integration function focusses on engineering and architecture portfolio-based approach to resource alignment leading to cost optimization, stability, and talent management.Training & Development: The Training & Development function focusses on upskilling and training specific to agile and Data and Analytics product management space.Responsibilities:

  • Provides insight on best practices for high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related product or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project goals.
  • Facilitates planning, team learning, and assists adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.
  • Encourages a continuous learning environment to strengthen the team’s understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.
  • Applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.
  • Works with product owners and management to define and prioritize technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
  • Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.
  • Leads daily scrum meetings, iteration reviews, and maintains backlogs.
  • Identifies and may remove roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Computer Science or Engineering experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational technology projects preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.
  • Scrum/Agile Certification strongly preferred.
  • Experienced scrum leader who can lead multiple teams on agile best practices.
  • Foundational understanding of flow and agile metrics.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to motivate others and foster teamwork.
  • Highly proactive with proven track record.
