Position Summary
The position supports communications processes and the development of documentation of policies, business processes and system tasks to promote business continuity and functional cross-training. Will also apply user security for student records systems as approved by the University Registrar, and support other OUR system and data efforts as needed in advance of the implementation of Workday Student.
This is a time-limited position for which funding is confirmed through Spring 2025.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Documentation and Editing

  • Develops and manages a resource library for OUR staff, constituents and users, including: user instructions, training manuals, a roster of key queries, and checklists.
  • Author documentations and creates business process workflow documentation/design.
  • Partners with colleagues to identify and document new processes, as well as gaps in existing documentation.
  • Supports OUR communications, including editing and reviewing OUR website and email messaging, for consistency and accuracy.

Functional Support

  • Manages process by which access to student records is requested and approved.
  • Applies approved security and access roles to student records systems managed by the Office of the University Registrar.
  • Maintains documentation of approved/removed access according to best practices and internal audit requirements.
  • Supports data quality assurance efforts, including for day-to-day processes as well as in service of the Workday Student implementation project.
  • Supports OUR records maintenance, including historical record scanning, as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Teams, Power Point, Access and Outlook.
  • Experience working with document and content management tools, such as Confluence, Box and DocuSign.
  • Experience working with student information or records management systems.
  • Experience working in University administration/higher education environment
  • Experience with video editing software to create training vignettes, such as Adobe Captivate or Camtasia.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear/precise written/oral communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well with a wide variety of others to achieve objectives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience.

G09-H

Salary Range
$22.25 – $34.45 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one’s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
