Primary Purpose of Position Serves as the Technical Operations Coordinator for the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other campus athletic facilities. The coordinator is responsible for assisting with the set up and operation of audio visual equipment. This includes but is not limited to sound, lighting, LED displays, scoreboards, projectors, and cameras. The coordinator will serve in a support or operator capacity for events.
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the position’s role. Computer coursework may be substituted year-for- year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school and one year of experience in the field of technology related to the position’s role. Coursework in computer or information technology may be substituted year for year for the required experience.
Essential Job Duties Serves as the Technical Operations Coordinator for the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other campus athletic facilities. The coordinator is responsible for assisting with the set up and operation of audio visual equipment. This includes but is not limited to sound, lighting, LED displays, scoreboards, projectors, and cameras. The coordinator will serve in a support or operator capacity for events.
Other Work Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Broadcast Video/Technology and the Halton Arena Technical Director with overall event support, building systems, and special projects.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Three years of hands-on experience in technical role for sporting and athletic events, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer relevant technical degree in sound, lights, electronics, or stage management.
  • Experience with audio visual systems including setup and teardown.
  • Experience in working sporting events in a technical role.
