Technical assistant for the synthesis and characterization of advanced electrolyte components

Your Job:

Join an EU funded research project to develop new battery chemistries and expand functionalities of current battery technologies to achieve next-generation high-performance, eco-friendly and safe batteries.

Your tasks in detail:

  • You will identify and develop novel electrolyte components together with scientists in the project
  • You will characterise relevant properties of electrolytes in lithium-based cells
  • You will participate in project meetings of the HighSpin project and report on your work as required.
  • You will support the scientists with regular progress reports and planned laboratory work.

Your Profile:

  • Completed apprenticeship as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical Technical Assistant
  • Professional experience in battery research desirable
  • Knowledge of the application of electrochemical investigations desirable
  • Experience in organic synthesis advantageous
  • Good language skills in English and German
  • Strong cooperation and communication skills
  • Structured, goal-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to contribute in an interdisciplinary, international team

Salary and social benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to them.
