Job Summary
Reporting to the Administrative Director for Academic Operations and Faculty Support at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), the Team Lead for Academic Areas will provide leadership for a group of Faculty Coordinators regarding schedules, work-load, and team activities. The Team Lead will also support Faculty members with complex administrative duties related to their teaching, research, publications and other activities. Takes initiative and proactively communicates with faculty, lab members, staff and supervisor to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications
Four or more years of administrative experience. Education beyond high school may count towards years of experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Experience supporting a large experimental research lab is strongly preferred. Strong diplomacy, problem solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and dependability. Receptive to others’ ideas and strong interest in fostering a welcoming, inclusive team environment, while developing leadership skills. Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work and be effective in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work with interruptions, adapt to change, and respond quickly to last minute requests and changes to calendars, schedules and/or travel. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make appropriate adjustments to work flow and demonstrate initiative. College degree preferred.
