Teaching Scholar Track Position in Anatomical Sciences

Applications will be considered from qualified applicants with a PhD (or equivalent) degree, with a strong background and demonstrated excellence and innovation in both classroom and laboratory teaching of gross anatomy, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy and/or pedagogy. Experience with human cadaveric laboratory teaching and histology is essential, as is experience with course/curriculum development. Candidates will be expected to integrate the basic anatomical sciences into both clinical and research contexts, and coordinate/instruct in upper year undergraduate and graduate courses in the basic sciences, medical and/or dental education curriculums. Candidates should be an emerging or established education scholar with a keen interest in further
developing a successful research program in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Additional postgraduate training in the field of Education would also be an asset. The successful candidate will also help develop graduate research projects in clinical anatomy that complement existing research strengths in the Department and will be expected to actively engage in research/scholarship activities that may include (but are not limited to) presentations, publications and funding applications on teaching, pedagogy and/or learning; interdisciplinary course and curriculum development and evaluation; interdisciplinary pedagogical and learning approaches; educational leadership; or other related SoTL research.
