Overview

We currently have an opening for several Teaching Fellows who will teach, advise and facilitate the experiential learning of students in formal and informal teaching and learning sessions, using appropriate educational best practices to maximise learning and promote a positive student experience.

The Teaching Fellows will focus on delivery of modules that contribute to the Biochemistry, Medical Genetics, Biomedical Science, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Biology and Psychology degree programmes

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning through:

  • Teaching and the evaluation and assessment of student achievement and development
  • Managing the surrounding student support through e.g. feedback
  • Contributing to the evaluation and assessment of modules
  • Providing advisorial support to students
  • Contribution to laboratory-based teaching
  • Leading on relevant administrative tasks relevant to the module or programme

Candidates must have a postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to any of the programmes above but are also particularly keen to invite candidates with expertise in Bioinformatics (particularly coding in R), Statistics, Genetics, Microbiology, Immunology, Clinical and/or Molecular Pharmacology.

The posts are based at the Mile End Campus in London. They are full time and fixed term contracts for up to 12 months. The salary will be in Grade 5, in the range of £39,815 – £43,176 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
