Teaching Fellow (Spanish) (Part Time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Skills Centre (Foreign Languages) at the University of Bath for a Teaching Fellow in Spanish.

About the role 

This role will lead on all aspects of the Spanish language provision on the University’s Institution-Wide Language Programme and its Community Courses programme, including:

  • the development and selection of teaching materials.
  • the delivery of Spanish language courses at different levels, in person and online (depending on the University’s teaching arrangements and needs).

This role is offered on a 0.75 FTE (27.38 hours per week) permanent basis.

About you

We are seeking applicants highly committed to teaching, learning, and skills development, preferably with experience of teaching Spanish in a higher education context, to:

  • ensure the highest level of student engagement, learning outcomes and quality are achieved within the student learning experience.
  • work collaboratively with Course Leaders and other Skills Centre colleagues on our language skills provision.

You will have a degree in a relevant subject area with a language teaching qualification and proficiency in Spanish. You will have excellent knowledge of language-teaching pedagogy, be open to growth and are willing to positively engage with further training and share your expertise with colleagues when appropriate. 

You will have outstanding organisational and time management skills, as well as the ability to cultivate an excellent working relationship with the rest of the language team.
