Teaching Fellow in Chemistry


About the role

You will join a vibrant team delivering innovative teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with a particular focus on physical chemistry. This includes delivering lectures, problem classes and seminars, supervising laboratory work, designing and marking assessments, and key skills/employability seminars.

You will also provide pastoral care to students to ensure they receive the very best experience possible.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator capable of inspiring interest, curiosity and drive for learning in our students. With a PhD in Chemistry, you will have a passion for the subject matter and be motivated to provide the very best experience for our students using your expertise and skill to ensure all reach their potential. You will be comfortable facilitating student learning using a range of delivery methods including lectures, seminars and tutoring – online and face to face. You will be confident in reviewing, evaluating and developing the key skills of students and able to develop resource materials, always with a focus on enhancing teaching quality.

This nine-month post will provide extensive teaching experience, whether as a stepping stone to a permanent academic position or in preparation for some other teaching role.
