Working as a Teaching Fellow in the School of Life Sciences, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in teaching in the biosciences field. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction with a focus on experiential learning through interactive learning, laboratory sessions and student projects.

You will ideally have a PhD or equivalent professional experience, or a significant track record of high-profile industry experience or professional practice in a relevant field, alongside postgraduate degree-level qualifications and subject knowledge.

We would especially welcome your application if you have expertise in biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology and / or physiology.The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing innovation and improvement in pedagogy; those without a teaching qualification will need to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA fellowship.

Applicants from academia will have experience and success in delivering high-quality teaching and learning opportunities. Applicants from a non-academic background are also welcome but must demonstrate relevant and recent work experience of the subject matter and of training, coaching or mentoring delivery.
