Teaching Fellow

The School of Law is looking to appoint to 1 x 1.0FTE post.  This may be filled by one full-time Teaching Fellow, or more than one candidate if on a part-time basis, to assist in the teaching of core elements of the LLB syllabus and/or to contribute to teaching on the interdisciplinary MA in Sociology and Criminology programme.  This post will be fixed term to mid-September 2023.

There is some scope for flexibility in start date, but it would be preferable if the successful candidate(s) could be in place in time to make a contribution to teaching at the earliest opportunity in the 2022-23 academic year.

Although this post is primarily teaching-focussed, the successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to become an active member of one or more of the School’s Research Centres should they choose.

The successful candidate(s) will be expected: 

  • to deliver student teaching and assessment in law at undergraduate and graduate level;
  • to contribute towards course and programme administration; and

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 salary scale (£35,333-£42,155) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
