Required Duties

The Teaching Assistant will assist the course instructor as follows:

  • Preparation of course material involving microeconomics and engineering projects, relevant for the economic case studies that will be included in the assignments and group projects
  • Answer questions on the topics covered in the course during office hours and via email
  • Assist with the grading of assignments, projects, mid-term and final exam
  • Help supervise the mid-term exam, if needed

Qualifications:

Graduate engineering student with a previous minor degree in business or management, or who successfully completed courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and/or management. Graduate economics students with appropriate course background are also encouraged to apply.

Teaching Assistants will be required to be on campus to perform their tasks in person.  Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
