Required Duties

  • Preparation of climate data from global and regional climate models, relevant for the engineering case studies that will be included in the assignments
  • Generate matlab/python scripts for extraction of relevant data from climate model outputs
  • Answer questions on the topics covered in the course during office hours and via email (note: one TA will be responsible for help with climate output analysis, while the other TA will be responsible for help with engineering adaptation tools)
  • Assist with the grading of assignments, mid-term and final exam
  • Help supervise the mid-term exam

Qualifications

Graduate level (or higher) engineering student, good knowledge of climate data, climate modeling and applications for engineering problems, comfortable with Python and MATLAB.

Teaching Assistants will be required to be on campus to perform their tasks in person.  Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
