Teaching Assistant, BMS

Barry University, Biomedical Sciences department is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant who will assist Graduate Biomedical Sciences faculty in labs and tutor for the following courses: Histology, Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, and Human Physiology. Teaching assistants will assist students with their lab and work together to determine a schedule of the lab which they assist. TA’s must read the lab instructions and view the assigned material on Learning Management Systems before lab.

Essential Functions

• Assisting students during lab

• Assisting instructor with lab setup and clean-up

• Tutoring students outside of lab

• Proctor lab exams

• Electronic communication with students

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be a current Barry University student.

• BS in Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent degree from accredited institutions.

• Must have completed graduate level Human Physiology, Gross Anatomy and Histology lecture and labs courses with an “A”.

• Some experience working with Anatomage table.

• Basic knowledge of learning management systems such as Examsoft and Canvas.
