Job Description

This is a part time, fixed-term position at a VT3 $83,506 – $89,758, VT4 $92,126 – $98,029 or VT5 $101,957 – $105,886 classification (depending on experience) per annum pro rata plus 17% employer superannuation working 26.6 hours per week until 23/12/2022.

About the role
Are you ready to inspire our Non-emergency Patient transport and Emergency Health Care Students? Our (HLT31120) Certificate III in Non-emergency Patient Transport and (HLT51020) Diploma of Emergency Health Care programs are currently seeking a teacher who can inspire and equip our students with current knowledge and skills within the scope that is expected within industry. You will achieve this by showcasing your teaching and facilitation skills in an adult learning environment.

About the person
We are looking for an individual who:

  • Wants to make a difference in the lives of our students and the workforce
  • Has extensive working experience in the industry
  • Maintains currency in industry and understands the scope of an PTO and/or ATA
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Holds qualifications equal to or higher than the discipline you can teach
  • Holds a current Working with Children Check
  • Teaching experience

Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Foster a working environment that is respectful to all students and staff
  • Establish and maintain a positive learning environment and deliver in accordance with the departments lesson plans
  • Undertake assessment of student performance in accordance with the departments assessment tools
  • Monitor student progression and attendance throughout the learning journey for the unit
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement for the course by being involved with the design, development and validation of its training and assessment resources
