The School of Healthcare Sciences is looking to recruit to a Teacher post within the Operating Department Practice (ODP) Team. We welcome applications from clinicians and academics in Operating Department Practice or Perioperative Practice.
The School of Healthcare Sciences is a major provider of health care education in Wales which has strong relationships with local health and social care providers and a wide portfolio of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for UK and international students. Research led teaching, research activity, innovation and creativity underpins our programmes and scholarship.

We are looking for someone who can make a positive contribution to our commitment to enhance research, teaching and learning, not just for the for the benefit of the ODP profession but also across our portfolio to support interprofessional education and research.

Successful candidates without a post-registration Masters qualification will be supported with their continuing professional development. We normally expect candidates to have current registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
This a a full-time post, 35 hours per week, but candidates wishing to undertake the role on a part-time basis will be considered. The post is fixed term until 30 September 2024. Candidates with suitable clinical experience may be eligible for market supplement.
Salary: £35,333 – £42,155 per annum, pro-rata if part-time (Grade 6). Appointments are generally made the the bottom of the grade.
