  • Total Remuneration $17,705 to $22,747 pa (including salary of $14,961 to $19,222 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Do you have industry experience in horticulture, land management and parks and gardens, and are seeking a new challenge?  A permanent part-time opportunity has become available within our Vocational Teaching team to deliver CQUniversity’s innovative Certificate II & Certificate III in Horticulture. 

 

You will use your industry knowledge and your teaching experience to contribute to training the next generation of specialists.  You will use your industry knowledge and relationships to make a meaningful impact on your industry from a vocational educational perspective. 

 

The CQUniversity’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences proudly delivers a broad spectrum of science and health related courses.  All courses are taught by enthusiastic staff with extensive industry experience, expertise in research, teaching and consulting in their areas of interest.

Position Requirements

 

  • Essential – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or a Graduate Certificate in Adult Education (or equivalent) or higher-level qualification in adult education.
  • Essential – Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed, Certificate III level in Horticulture (AHC30716), Parks and Gardens (AHC31016) and Conservation and Eco-systems management (AHC31421) and current Industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
  • Demonstrated capacity for best practice in the management of teaching and learning activities including delivery, assessment and evaluation.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to deliver flexible, responsive and quality client service.
  • You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
