Summary
This role will support the creation and maintenance of the GVSU Talent Management strategy and initiatives related to organizational culture, talent philosophy, leadership development, training, inclusion, and performance management. This role provides process, operations, data analytics, business partnership and support across the talent management life cycle. Core responsibilities contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of talent processes that will ensure the university is able to deliver on its Employee Value Proposition, core competencies and advancement of strategic talent initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Bachelor’s degree in HR management and 3 years of HR focused experience
- 2+ years of project or program management experience
- Proven analytical/critical thinking skills and understanding of talent practices
- Technical experience with learning management system administration, course-authoring platforms, and curriculum development
- Highly self-motivated, self-starter with ability to navigate ambiguity
- Knowledge of HR technology systems, business intelligence tools, and data
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and speaking skills, and an ability to facilitate trainings
- Ability to interpret and present HR and business data, and drive actionable insights that influence decisions
- 2+ years’ experience in higher-education
- Experience with and understanding of diverse and underrepresented populations
- An understanding of the university’s framework for Reach Higher 2025, and a demonstrated commitment to educational equity
- Experience with web design, creative media production, marketing, and publication
- Expertise with Adobe/Apple creative media suites
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
