Play a key role in supporting the recruitment of professional and academic staff for the Defence Trailblazer for Concept to Sovereign Capability

The Defence Trailblazer for Concept to Sovereign Capability is a $250 million enterprise powered by the University of Adelaide and the University of New South Wales, with funding from the Australian Government through the Trailblazer Universities Program as well as university and industry partners.

Partnering with key stakeholders across the two Universities and supporting recruitment to positions in both institutions you will provide expert advice to plan, develop and implement tailored attraction strategies across academic and professional staff recruitment in Adelaide, Sydney and Canberra. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition colleagues at UNSW to ensure an excellent and consistent end to end candidate experience is delivered. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition professional to work on a highly complex recruitment project.

This role is based in Adelaide and employment will be with the University of Adelaide.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating the delivery of contemporary talent acquisition services in a complex organisation with multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of tailored talent acquisition strategies for both individual roles and campaign level recruitment both on a national and international basis.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with and negotiation across a large complex organisation with a diverse range of stakeholders, and in particular current and potential senior staff.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills and the ability to apply effective problem solving skills, being innovative and creative in generating solutions.
