Job Summary

Under general direction of the Recruitment Manager, the Talent AcquisitionSpecialist performs recruitment, outreach and sourcing efforts to identifythe most qualified candidates for a wide variety of open and postedposition. Conducts candidate screening, coordinates advertising andoutreach, participates in career events and sources passive candidatesusing a variety of tools available. Participates on workforce related projectteams and committees involving developing, implementing and / ormaintaining recruitment and other employment and sourcing programs andpolicies. Provides advice and counsel on employment practices andrecruitment processes. Participates in outreach and diversity efforts.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist possess the knowledge and confidenceto effectively develop and cultivate client relationships, proven ability towork with people of all levels, be flexible and a team player. Acts as aconsultant to managers to ensure the recruitment needs of theorganization are met. Collaborates closely with the hiring manager tounderstand candidate screening preferences and guidelines includinginterview and phone screening practices. Interpret and apply policies andprocedures related to staffing. Provide overall analysis, planning, recruitment in line with achieving the Recruitment Score Card*.
Skill in analyzing situation, information and practices in order to define theproblem or objective identifies relevant factors and patterns, formulatelogical conclusions, recognize alternatives and effectively achievesuccessful outcomes.
Ability to independently prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload, change in assignments and pressure of deadlines.
Knowledge of the various types of recruiting techniques and media and theinstances that each is most effectively employed.
Expert skills in interviewing to quickly and accurately assess an individual’sexperience range of knowledge, skills and level of competence.Demonstrated advanced understanding and application of the following
principles and practices:
•Recruitment/placement laws and practices
•Compensation practices
•Benefit laws and practices
•Ability to quickly acquire strong knowledge of the firm’s recruiting policy,
procedures and databases
•Event planning skills

Note: This position requires all team members to travel to San Francisco for every 3 months for 3 days events. The rest will be remote work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience as a recruiter or acombination of formal recruitment and healthcaremanagement in a similar environment.
  • A proven track record in screening, interviewing, selectingand placing candidates, working closely with hiringmanagers.
  • Strong knowledge of candidate sourcing using a multitudeof recruitment mediums from passive sourcing to attending job fairs.
  • Ability to travel to multiple UCSF locations and attend localand statewide recruitment events
  • Metrics and results-proven track record of success
  • Experience in various types of recruiting techniques andmedia outreach.
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding and application ofthe following principles and practices:

  • AIRS.
  • Recruitment experience in a healthcare or academicenvironment.
  • Certified HR Professional.
