The ITS Facilities Systems team is
responsible for providing IT support to the Facilities Management &
Development (FMD) department at NAIT. The team supports several existing
applications, reports, and interfaces between systems.

As a Systems Analyst on the
Facilities Systems team, you will provide support to FMD and work on IT
projects. Throughout this you will work with FMD, ITS, and other departments at
NAIT to identify business problems, design solutions to these problems, develop
or work with vendors on the solution, and test the solution to make sure it is
meeting the business’s needs while documenting this work.

NAIT supports a distributed work
model. Team members can choose where they would like to work, either on campus
or at home, anywhere in Canada.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare
    recommendations for business process improvements and creates related design
    specifications.
  • Facilitate
    the coordination of changes to business process as directed by management.
  • Provide
    technical support to client area business analysts.
  • Coordinate
    gathering client information and business requirements and mapping these
    requirements to enterprise application functionality.
  • Evaluate
    potential solutions to business problems, assessing the risks and
    interdependencies of these solutions.
  • Support
    project implementation activities such as coordinating user acceptance testing.
  • Customize
    or build application add-ons based on user requirements.
  • Implement
    software solutions by following NAIT’s policies and procedures, and ITS’s
    development and documentation methodologies.

  • Programming
    Languages:
    • Transact-SQL
    • ASP.NET
    • C#
    • JavaScript
  • Tools,
    Applications, and Frameworks
    • AssetWorks
      AiM Facilities Management including AiM IQ, BIRT Reporting, and Advanced
      Business Automation
    • Microsoft
      PowerApps (Power Automate, PowerBI, Dataverse)
    • Visual
      Studio
    • Familiarity
      with RESTful APIs
    • Experience
      working with cloud-based applications, such as Azure DevOps
    • Knowledge
      of PeopleSoft HCM and/or Finance.
  • Experience
    working in an Agile development environment
  • Problem
    solving and communication skills.
  • Ability
    to work independently and prioritize tasks and time.
  • Demonstrated
    client focus and service orientation.
  • Ability
    to effectively track and document issues and their resolutions.
  • Attention
    to detail, and the ability to function in a dynamic and demanding work
    environment.
  • Effectively
    responding to conflicting requirements and resource demands is a necessity.
  • ERP
    systems business analysis experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree
    or diploma in computer science
  • Three
    years’ experience in software development

 

Remuneration:  $2,986.38
– $3,956.43 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
