| Job Summary: | The mission of the Center for Biomedical Swine Research and Innovation (CBSRI) is to innovate and accelerate the discovery and development of therapies and technologies that change human lives. CBSRI creates, validates and utilizes porcine biomedical models to translate benchtop research into clinically relevant solutions. CBSRI is seeking an energetic Research Specialist to join the Procedural Core. This position will work closely with a team led by a Research Veterinarian in the day-to-day activities of the Procedural Core, including but not limited to: anesthesia support, experimental surgeries, post-operative care, neonatal care, specialized validation techniques for swine models, and project management. The Research Specialist will also work closely with the staff of various animal research units across campus. We are looking for an individual who is eager to build and strengthen their procedural and hands-on skills with pigs, has a team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and is excited to take lead in achieving the research goals of the various center projects. |
