Sustainability Analyst

About the Role 
As we seek to ensure a sustainable future, we are looking for a passionate and data-driven sustainability professional to deliver sustainability data analysis, reporting, and governance for the University.

The Sustainability Analyst represents a significant opportunity to contribute to Swinburne’s sustainability strategy, to demonstrate leading-edge sustainability innovations and drive cultural change. In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to support the data management and reporting of various environmental performance information across Swinburne’s operations.
  • Have responsibility for activities to establish data governance, and ensure that data is accurate, timely and complete.
  • Deliver robust analysis and reporting to support the measurement of sustainable outcomes including our Net Zero 2025 commitment.
  • Support project coordination and have an opportunity to lead or contribute to sustainability initiatives.

Reporting to the Sustainability Program Manager, your role will be relied upon as a subject matter expert in relation to sustainability data and data governance, providing insight and direction on issues or opportunities.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience managing data and data structures.
  • Experience and strong theoretical and practical understanding of sustainability in a complex organisation.
  • Strong interest and passion to drive environmental, social, and economic sustainability outcomes.
  • Developed relationship management experience to positively influence and motivate stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, evaluation, and research skills, together with ability to translate data into meaningful insights and reporting.
  • Experience delivering projects with solid results and innovative solutions in large complex organisations

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree qualification in a related discipline.
