Surveying Honours Year Scholarship

In 2023, UniSQ will offer one Surveying Honours Year Scholarship to support a student who has recently completed the Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying) and is now commencing their (Honours) year in the Bachelor of Spatial Science (Hons) Surveying.

Established for 2023 by the Institute of Surveyors Australia (Qld) Bicentennial Education Fund, this scholarship will assist students to continue on and complete their fourth (Honours) year of study.
Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $8000 to be paid in two instalments.
Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • have graduated within the last 5 years with a Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying)
  • be commencing their honour’s year (4th year) studies at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) in Study Period 1 2023 (e.g., Semester 1 2023)
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 6 study units across the 2023 academic year as follows:
    • minimum 3 study units in Study Period 1 (e.g., Semester 1); and
    • minimum 3 study units across the remaining study periods (e.g., Semesters 2 and 3)
  • be enrolled on-campus, external or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants must:

  • submit a personal statement (500 words maximum) outlining:
    • what influenced and motivated you to return to studies and complete your honours year?
    • how you see yourself as a future professional within your field.
  • provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:
    • final transcript of results for the Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying)

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
