Surgical Skills Lab Technician

Functioning as the Surgical Skills Lab Technician the successful candidate will assist the Associate Director with all cadaveric education events.

  • Maintains an up-to-date inventory of equipment and supplies and coordinates deliveries/returns for education events.
  • Cleans or assists in the cleaning of technical equipment through established protocols and/or instrumentation Instructions For Use.
  • Orders and receives specimen supplies and equipment for all events.
  • Maintains a presence in all events assisting faculty and learners with equipment supply and basic A/V needs.
  • Communicates Surgical Skills Lab and specimen prover policies to faculty and learners.
  • Dissects human cadavers and assists in preparing stations for teaching purposes.
  • Responsible for clean-up after events according to established procedures. Coordinates additional/special request cleaning of spaces with the housekeeping manager.
  • Work hours vary to include some early morning evening and Saturday events.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
