Who are we Looking For?

We are looking for a Supply Educator to compliment our team!

The Supply Educator will work at our various locations within the Hamilton area, assisting the child care centres as directed.

Pay Rate $ 21.65/hr (includes wage grants)

What are we Looking For?

To be considered for this role, the right candidate will have the following qualifications:

Experience:  Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children OR Related experience in a childcare setting, working with school age children.

Education:  Diploma in Early Childhood Education OR diploma in a child care or related field

Certifications/

• Standard First Aid with CPR level C

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check

• Proof of up to date immunization for TB, Tetanus and MMR

Skills: Demonstrates awareness and knowledge of How Does Learning Happen is an asset

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the ongoing operation of a high-quality childcare centre for children ages 18 months to 12 years of age.

The successful candidate will:

• Report to the day care centres as assigned to cover for the full- and part- time staff

• Establish goals, plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate experiences to enhance children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development in accordance with Ministry of Education’s How Does Learning Happen

• Maintain a safe, warm, and caring environment in which a high-quality child care program can operate, and maintain professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
