The department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Supervisor, Materials Management to work at UHealth. The Supervisor, Materials Management for Supply Chain Services will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the Manager, Materials Management in performing the receiving and distribution of inventory and special-order items in our satellite locations as assigned.

  • Ensures that all required documentation related to receiving, stock and non-stock supply distribution is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Coordinates emergency deliveries with the Transportation department administration.

  • Researches any special-order delivery issues in response to end-user complaints.

  • Assist with the unloading, unpacking and storage of inventory items as they are received. Notifies the Inventory Coordinator of any change in movement of products, such as overstocking of items or slow-moving items.

  • Verify and report all noted item quantity discrepancies to the Inventory Coordinator/ Shipping and Receiving Manager.

  • Fills pick tickets/computer requisitions and delivers supplies to hospital departments in a timely manner.

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of the department’s delivery truck and bring all supplies and or equipment into the department. Use of a pallet jack may be required.

  • Responsible for assuring that all work areas and storage areas are maintained in a safe and proper appearance.

  • Comply with all written policy and procedures as outlined in the Warehouse manual.

  • Works with the Purchasing department to expedite the Return-Goods-Authorization function.

  • Functions as the liaison between Receiving, Purchasing and the Inventory Coordinator in resolving any discrepant receipts.

  • Supervises team of clerks and performs other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director of Supply Chain Services.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Minimum Qualifications


  • High School Diploma

  • Valid FL Drivers License required

  • Three years previous warehouse experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • General knowledge of office procedures and operations.

  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and a good driving record.

  • Previous experience with an automated inventory management system preferred.

  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
