Job Description
Under the general direction of the Supply Chain Manager and Director, directly supervises the execution of a coordinated lean supply support system that operates efficiently and meets the needs of the clinical areas within OSUWMC. Supervises the daily transaction of the Distribution & Logistics operations by managing the order, receipt, storage and distribution of supplies, correspondence and equipment. Maintains processes and workflows to ensure accurate and timely delivery of supplies and equipment to units throughout the Health System. Manage various employees within Distribution & Logistics Team including staff covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreements. Evaluates and counsels staff in job performance via the P3 tool. Maintains positive relationship with vendors, business unit staff, and other internal departments. Conducts periodic performance reviews of staff. Acts as the frontline problem solver and is considered a technical expert with regard to supply chain operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field with at least three years of hospital supply chain experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education, or considerable years of practical experience with inventory management, distribution, supply chain and supervisory experience. Crisp verbal skills; effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills; demonstrates high energy. Persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills. Ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
