What you’ll do
The Supervisor Billings is responsible for all billing activities across multiple Business Units (Dealer, Petroleum, Marks, CTR, TRM & Sport Chek). This position will work closely with the business to ensure that all billings to the customers are approved and accounted for in the P&L/Balance Sheet. This position manages 5 Direct Reports, which include prioritizing workload and providing support to resolve issues.
Operating out of multiple systems, this role will ensure billings to both CTC Dealers, B2B BU’s and Marks Franchisees are processed on time and with accuracy. Given the magnitude of the Dealer collections to Cash flow for the organization, this role is critical to ensure there are no disruptions. Additionally, given the importance of the relationship with the dealers, this role will also be critical to ensure that the PAD withdrawals from the Dealer bank accounts are accurate as per Deal terms and Dealer Contract.

Act as the SME regarding all billings for both Dealers and B2B business.

Lead and monitor daily activities of the Billing team; prioritizing the workload of the team and ensuring efficient distribution of work; support for resolving issues; providing performance feedback, coaching, and training to the team; leading team meetings.

Overseeing the processing for Dealer Changeovers and Finalizations; managing finalization calendars, partner with the Changeover team to ensure completeness; support Customer Master team with the Finalization process and Dealer bank account changes.

Operate with a continuous improvement mindset; streamline and standardize billing processes across all BU’s.

Ensure CPO controls are executed and saved for monthly/quarterly review.

Engage in meetings/conversations for onboarding of new business opportunities.

Liaison with the upstream business owners to work through issues with billing requests and disputes.

Develop and/or maintain KPI’s for the team.

Review and approve all manual billing (including rebills, special billings and adjustments)

Participate in the recruitment of new staff; including interview process and lead new employee onboarding.
What you bring

University Degree in Business or equivalent experience; CPA, CPA/CMA/CGA would be an asset

3-5 years experience in Retail and a large organization is preferable.

Superior communication skills.

Strong resolution and negotiation skills with ability for strategic and tactical thinking.

Excellent prioritization, organizational, and problem solving skills

Solid understanding of best practices in billing processes.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization and customers

Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Advanced working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar ERP system

Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment while being responsive to changing business requirements.
