Summer Camp Counselor

Come join the Wonders team this summer! We are looking for a few of Summer Camp Counsellors to help run our children’s summer camps. What do we provide:

At Wonders Summer Camp, you will be responsible for providing campers (children) with a well-rounded camp experience. Ensuring the health and safety of children is crucial, as is developing and leading group activities and programming for designated camper groups. Centre Wonders Tutorat provides all materials and camp training, along with mentoring and monthly team boosters.

 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise campers (kids and teenagers) throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being during all activities
• Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to campers, promoting positive behavior and social interactions
• Lead and facilitate activities, to help campers integrate and participate in camp activities
• Maintain a safe and clean camp environment, following all the safety protocols and procedures during all activities and in case of emergencies
• Collaborate with other counselors and administrative staff to ensure the overall success of the camp program

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting is preferred
• Strong oral and written English and/or French. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is an asset
• Diploma or Bachelor degree in early childhood education or holding related certificate is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and a positive attitude

• Brossard
• Montreal Downtown

 

You must be available in every last week of June, July and August.
