A leader in nursing education for more than 40 years, UCF College of Nursing is doing MORE to ensure a healthier future for all. With a new, permanent home at UCF’s Academic Health Sciences Center, we will have more space to prepare more Knight nurses with academic excellence and more opportunity to impact more lives with innovative, interdisciplinary research.

The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Nursing is hiring a Student Resources Manager to provide leadership and coordination of student services to all graduate and undergraduate BSN students. The Student Resources Manager will develop a new student success center with a student-friendly, service-oriented environment that promotes retention, graduation, and overall student success.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordination of student tutoring services with faculty or OPS student tutors.

  • Coordination of writing consultations with faculty.

  • Liaison to UCF SARC, Writing Center, Career Center, and other university offices to deliver services and programming to nursing students.

  • Coordinate special study skills, stress management, time management, and other skills sessions.

  • Coordinate NCLEX prep and review sessions for pre-license BSN students.

  • Develop and maintain faculty early alert grade campaigns in myKnight STAR to identify undergraduate students of concern or at-risk.

  • Utilize myKnight STAR to identify early alert systems.

  • Work with students of concern to coordinate remediation plans.

  • Provide oversight and guidance on programming and services to enhance performance metrics including 2-year and 4-year graduation rates, NCLEX pass rates, high DFW courses, and others. 

  • Collaborate with faculty to implement tracking strategies for student success.

  • Identify research funding opportunities for student success initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 1+ year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and 5+ years of relevant work experience OR Master’s and 3+ years of experience.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience using Excel spreadsheets or other data management tools.

  • Strong oral and written interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Experience with myKnight STAR (EAB Student Success Collaborative).

  • Experience with advising, coaching, and testing services.
