This newly created role of Recruitment and Conversion Manager for the Faculty of Health and Medicine (FHM) covers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate student recruitment. It is a fantastic opportunity to make a fundamental contribution to how the Faculty engages with prospective students at a time when the interest in and relevance of our programmes has never been higher.

The role’s main responsibility is to devise and implement creative and innovative operational plans for the recruitment of well-qualified UG and PG students wishing to study at Lancaster University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine. Key undergraduate programmes include: Medicine and Surgery, Sports and Exercise Science, and a range of Bioscience programmes; key postgraduate programmes include Master’s in Clinical Research, Health Data Science, and Biomedicine, and Doctoral study across a range of Health-related disciplines.

You will be responsible for operational planning, management, delivery and reporting of FHM UG and PG recruitment, ensuring that the implementation of recruitment strategies result in successfully meeting recruitment targets. With the FHM senior team, you will have responsibility for designing and delivering the Faculty’s UG and PG recruitment strategy, and you will have overall responsibility for schools and colleges liaison activity where it is FHM-specific, ensuring a ‘one University’ approach is achieved in optimising recruitment from feeder schools and colleges.

You will work closely with the admissions directors and programme directors to maximise their recruitment activities, and you will work closely with the marketing manager to deliver and implement joined up recruitment and marketing plans.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated recruitment manager who can demonstrate a successful track-record of delivering effective recruitment plans. Excellent communication skills are essential to the role, particularly when engaging senior academic colleagues and external stakeholders (undergraduate and postgraduate students, schools and colleges). The successful candidate will bring analytical rigour to the recruitment process. Knowledge of external networks related to student recruitment is desirable.
