About the opportunity

Southern Cross University is seeking four (4) Student Management Coordinators to provide operational management and supervisory responsibilities to the team facilitating client-focused advice to current students, guiding the Student Management team in pursuing a successful end-to-end student lifecycle. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the activities of team members in accordance with performative measures.
  • Drive training and guidance for team members involving student management systems and interpretation of policy and procedure.
  • Offer support as a first point of escalation for operational matters within the Student Management Team.
  • Work across multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop agile, collegial solutions in response to fast-paced changes in environment or circumstance.

About you

You will bring established experience and aptitude in leading a team; driving staff training, scheduling and facilitating other tasks, often managed with competing priorities and deadlines. You will thrive within a team environment, with a synonymous ability to work autonomously, providing high quality client service. More specifically, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, plus relevant experience, or extensive administrative experience;
  • High level analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures;
  • Problem-solving skills with a capacity for critical, conceptual and reflective thinking;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships, including conflict resolution and negotiations at all levels.

Salary and benefits

  • Four (4) full-time continuing (permanent) positions.
  • Located at either Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore. Generous relocation support available.
  • HEW Level 5. The base salary ranges from $73,987 – $82,271 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $96,257.07.
