The Imaging Informatics Department is responsible for assuring that the clinical cardiology, general diagnostic imaging and imaging reporting systems that are used within the Medical Center are safe and effective.  This includes all aspects of training, acquisition, implementation, maintenance and repair of the equipment.  The staff of Imaging Informatics works with Clinical Departments, Clinical Engineering, Information Technology and hospital staff to ensure the integrity of the Imaging systems.  Imaging Informatics staff is involved in the ongoing task of evaluating workflow and application capability to maximize the use of the available technology.

The Imaging Informatics Student Intern assists physicians, technologists, and other medical staff in managing the radiology patient records.  Each intern is assigned areas of responsibility and will perform duties according to the schedule. The Student Intern works in conjunction with Imaging Informatics Manager, Imaging Informatics staff and Information Technology to ensure maintenance and integrity of the Image Management process.
